Siberian Tigers BY: NEEMAEndangered species are animals that will become extinct or will be gone forever. Siberian tigers (Amur tigers) are one of them. If communities and organizations come together and help save the animals. We need to save their habitat and STOP killing or poaching. If we can stop this then endangered species won't be endangered anymore! Siberian tigers, also known as the Amur tiger, are critically endangered. There are only 350 of them living in the wild and in the 20th century there are 3 out of 8 of their kind left in the wild. That may seem like a lot but it is not. They live in eastern Russia’s birch forests and some can be found in China and North Korea. They also live in the Sikhote-Alin mountain range east of the Amur river. They have been recently found them in far east Russia also Jilin Province of Russia Amur tigers usually hunt for deer, wild boars, bears, rabbits, pikas and fish. But they do have predators lurking around waiting for the right moment to catch their prey. Like wolves, bears. People are the greatest threat to the Siberian tiger. We cut down trees which destroys their habitat. People even illegally hunt or poach this amazing animal. They are often poached to use for Chinese medicine.
