Characteristics These animals can be pretty amazing and unique. The African Wild Dog’s size is about the size of a medium domestic dog. They can weight up to 37 to 40 pounds. They are around 24 to 30 inches tall, also the African Wild Dog’s stay in packs. The African wild dogs have four toes on each foot, unlike other dogs. Each of the African wild dogs have it’s own unique coat/fur pattern. The African wild dog have big and round ears.
Prey The African wild dog has a good appetite. The African wild dogs are carnivores so that means they eat meat or flesh. The African Wild Dog’s eat wildebeest, antelope, impala, gazelle, springboks, and zebras. Also the African wild dogs eat rodents and birds.
